Penguin Pre-writing Worksheet

Penguin Worksheet

I had a request for a winter version of my Spring Lamb worksheet freebie. Tracing line patterns will help get your children ready for learning to handwrite letters and numbers.

Penguin Worksheet

Ask your little learners to color the penguin and then use a marker or crayon to trace the loopy-loop lines in his tummy.

Encourage them to keep their hand moving fluidly and not to stop. As well as making this line pattern here on the penguin, encourage them to do more - on the carpet, in a sand tray, with a water-brush on the concrete, on a chalkboard.

Provide whiteboards and dry-erase markers for your students to continue making this pattern long after they complete this paper-based activity. The more that hand gets moving the better!
